| Distribution |
A species with a restricted area of distribution. Found in a hilly area south of the Sanaga River 50 kms south of Edea & between the Nyong & Sanaga Rivers of western Cameroon. |

Small pools in rainforested areas. |

| Distinguishing Characteristics |
Deep red/brown on the frontal area of the body. Distinguished by the colouration & patterning of the anal fin.

Scheel originally considered this sp. to be calliurum.but
noticed a difference in chromosome arm numbers. Amiet considered the
colouration to be distinctly seperate from calliurum
& ahli. |
