The 2010 AKA Fish Sale Room is
planned to open at 7:30 am on Saturday, May 29th.
This year, the Fish Sale Room is
hosted by Upstate New York Killifish Assc. The process planned
for the actual sales is to invite 20 people into the room at a time to
purchase fish. This will be done at 10 minute intervals.
There will be three rounds with special rules for the final round.
The Sales Percentage is 70/30 in
favor of the seller.
ROUND 1 - Standard system - buy 1
bag of fish, pay and exit the room.
ROUND 2 - Standard System - buy 2
bags of fish, pay and exit the room
ROUND 3 - New System - This will be
open season on the sales room. HOWEVER - You may purchase only 3
bags of fish at one time. Once you have purchased the 3 bags,
you may return to the room to purchase 3 more bags. This is
being done to provide fairness to all participants in the attempt to
eliminate hoarding. While this is rarely done, we want to make
certain everyone has a fair shot.
SPECIAL RULES:
1. Everyone wishing to sell
fish will be required to provide a list of the fish to the computer
operators to receive printout stickers to attach to tags we will
provide. You will attach those tags to each bag of fish/eggs
before coming to the Sale Room.
2. No single person may sell
more than 3 bags of the same species without prior approval. Unfortunately, in recent
years, there have been far too many very common fish left over after
the sales room is closed and we are hoping to cut down those numbers a
bit. There is an exception to the rule. If you are
offering rare or uncommon species - you may get permission from the
Sales Room Chairman to provide extra pairs.
3. The Split this year will
be 70/30 in favor of the seller. Please plan your prices
accordingly.
4. Sales Funds will be passed
out as soon as possible following the Sales Room closing, but no later
than prior to the Sunday Auction.
5. Any fish left in the Sales Room
1 hour after the room closes will automatically go into the Sunday
Auction.
