What a way to see Portland!

We will be offering an optional dinner cruise on the Willamette River on Sunday evening. A buffet dinner will be included, with the menu to be announced at a later date. We hope that many attendees will stay over until at least Monday, either to attend the Fish Disease Workshop or to enjoy Portland and Oregon. This cruise will be the perfect way to relax after the frenzy of the auction.

This is a charter and we will have the Sternwheeler Rose to ourselves.The route we will take is quite a sightseeing tour. We first sail south up the Willamette along the east side of Ross Island, past all the floating houses, until we reach the Sellwood bridge. The boat then turns and sails down the river along the west side of the island and into downtown Portland. After sailing almost all the way through downtown up to the Steel Bridge the boat turns once more and heads back.

You may spot one of the nesting pairs of Bald Eagles on Ross Island or Osprey that fish these waters. Watch carefully for playful River Otters along the banks of the Willamette.

Our ability to offer this cruise depends on the level of interest. We cannot charter the boat for less than 40 people and we must confirm by April 20th. Please register early to indicate your interest.
