We keep saying it, but Oregon is a beautiful state. It has something for everyone. The coast is gorgeous. If you go out there, be sure to visit the sea lion caves. In May the rhododendrons will be in bloom, making a spectacular display.
On the south side of Newport, there is the Oregon Coast Aquarium, well worth a visit for anyone interested in aquatic creatures.
Finally, if your tastes run more towards mountains, Oregon has those too. We recommend a visit to Sisters or Bend. The scenery on the way over is spectacular. You will be impressed by the ancient lava flows.
