Also, the following number, 312/297-0090, will connect to four hotels; Courtyard, Sleep Inn, Hampton Inn, and the Fairfield Inn. These hotels are all at 67th and Cicero Ave., which is 4 blocks south of Midway Airport and 2 ? miles north of the convention site.

There is a free, on-demand shuttle service that will take you to and from Midway airport. We are working on transportation options to the convention site, but have nothing definite at this time.

Please pass this info on to non-Internet attendees if you know they're looking for a room yet.

Also, don't forget our Classifieds service to aid potential room mates.  Sen me an email at william_vannerson@ama-assn.org if you have either space available in your room or if you do not have a room and are still looking.

Also,
Roger Klocek will be modifying his topic as well to include more information on other species as well as the native pupfish conservation effort.  Watch here for more details soon.

February 12, 1999 The ChiKA convention committee has been busy at work during the darkest days of winter.  So there's a lot of new announcements!  There are also a few gaps of information that need to be filled in.   We decided to publish these pages "as is" in order to get the bulk of the information out to you as soon as possible.  The "gaps" will be filled in and updated as soon as possible.  Thank you for your patience.

    Three ways to register:
    1. On-line at the AKA secure server page.
(NOW AVAILABLE - SEE LINK ABOVE).
    2. print the web page form and mail it in.
    3. Mail in the form in the AKA Business News Letter (BNL)!
  • Speakers:
All speakers are confirmed.  There' also individual speaker pages with each speaker's topic and biography.  Not all of the speaker's information is ready for "Press" yet.  So there's much more to come.
  • Hotel:
No new information here but remember to contact the hotel to make your reservations early.   The convention reservation form DOES NOT register you at the hotel.  You must make separate arrangements.  Also, the Hilton on-line reservation system will not apply the special show rate so you must call the 800 number to get our rate.
  • T-Shirts:
You can order your convention T-Shirts from the registration form.   Non-attendees can use the form to order T-Shirts for delivery after the convention.   This year we are also offering a limited amount of Woman's scoop neck T-Shirts!   Make sure you click on the link to the T-Shirt image.  It's worth the wait!
  • NOTICE:
The registration form in the February BNL inadvertently lists Woman's T-Shirts available in size XXL.  This is in error.  The correct sizes are Medium through XL.   Please contact  if you have already submitted a form ordering the Woman's' size XXL.  We will either exchange it for another size or style, or refund your money.
