"Desert Pupfish of the Dominican Republic & Pupfish Conservation Program Update " (top of Page)

Saturday, 9:00 a.m. Windsor I & II Rooms

The Dominican Republic is pictured as a lush Caribbean Island surrounded by coral reefs. While that is true in many areas of the Country, there are several sections which are arid and desert-like. The arid areas harbor pupfish in some very unique habitats. Some of the other endemic fishes will be featured along with the pupfish descriptions. The presentation will feature what the Aquarium has found on its last field survey in 1998.
