Fish Sale 10 Commandments

  1. Darlene Weisman has been appointed by the CKA to oversee the Fish Sale.  She is the final authority on anything dealing with the Fish Sale, including rules, procedures or complaints.
  2. The CKA offers this Fish Sale as a service to bring buyers and sellers together during the convention.  The CKA will take care of the items placed in the sale, but is not responsible for any items stolen, experiencing death or not being purchased.
  3. The seller will receive 70% of the proceeds from items sold.  The cash proceeds will be distributed before the auction on Sunday.
  4. Buyers will be required to hand over CASH in American currency.  Banking and currency exchange services will not be offered at the Fish Sale.
  5. Buyer beware!  What you see is what you get.  If you should have any problem with the item you purchase you must take your problem to the seller.  Remember, if you are not sure of an item, or don't think it's worth the price, etc. do not buy it.  Do not come to Darlene Weisman as resurrections, sex changes, species change, an growing money on trees are beyond her abilities.
  6. Remember we are all here to have fu, look at fish, buy fish, enjoy the company of other killie enthusiasts, and exchange fish tales.  Respect and courtesy practiced by all will go a long way towards making this a great weekend.
  7. Killifish and eggs (no other items will be accepted) must be registered and in the Fish Sale room by 7:30 p.m. on Friday.  Exceptions must be made with Darlene Weisman a week in advance (phone number 847-223-4743, email at Jweis34863@aol.com , or send letters to 663 Cardinal Ct., Grayslake, IL  60030).  All items must be clearly marked with the

        * seller's name,
        * description of the item,
        * price, and a
        * way to contact the seller if problems arise (e.g., phone number and/or address).
  8. The 1st round will begin at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday with a limit of 1 bag.  The convention registration numbers will be called in order.  If any number/individual is not present when called then the next number will be called.  The Fish Sale will not wait for anyone!  If you show up late, see a Fish Sale coordinator immediately.   The time for the 2nd round will be listed at the convention and is dependent upon the number of participants.  There is a 2 bag limit during the 2nd round. After the 2nd round is complete, the Fish Sale will be open to first come first serve.  There is no bag limit during the final (3rd) round.
  9. Early registration is appreciated.  You can register early (last minute changes will be accepted).  Send early registrations for the Fish Sale to Darlene Weisman at 663 Cardinal Ct., Grayslake, IL  60030.
  10. The Fish Sale room will close at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.  The seller must pick up all items not sold between 5:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.  Any item(s) not picked up by 5:30 p.m. will be considered a donation to the AKA auction on Sunday.
