I have a10 gallon well planted tank with 2 SAE and 2 ottos. Which Killi would be best for a species tank and how many could I put in it. Beginner killies would probably be best.

I'm trying to do the same thing with a 38 gallon tank but I put Flourite substarte in it (and yes I rinsed it) and cannot get it to clear up. It's very frustrating. I tried Claity which Seachem recommended and I'm using an Ehiem 2220.

I do have 4 pairs of F. gardneri N'sukka which are my first killies. They're in a tank by themselves and I DO HAVE eggs in my mop. Looking forward to the next step.

well, I have good and bad news. The good news is there shouldn't be a problem mixing about any killifish with the SAE or otto's. The bad news is the SAE's (if they are true SAE's) will reach about 6 inches and a 10 gallon is way too small for them.

I've never used Fluorite so I don't know what to tell you about that. Is it particles of fluorite in the water column or something else? possibly a finer filter material will help remove particulates but if you've got some sort of microscopic bacterial bloom or something, you'll need something else (maybe the clarity like you already tried).
