Those of you who get notifications of new posts will have seen that we have been having a problem with a spammer posting messages that contain a link to their web site. I have deleted these and we have in place mechanisms to prevent spammers from auto-registering. I have recently gone to approving new registrations myself. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to positively identify these registration attempts and yesterday I allowed one that was obviously not genuine.
I apologize for the inconvenience and I will continue to try to prevent this problem from recurring. Barry Cooper

An e-mail arrived in my inbox this afternoon entiltled AKA members probe message. I did not open it for fear of malware.
Did anyone else receive this message? Is it from the AKA or is it malware? Tom Wroblewski Michigan

It is genuine. It was sent to assess how many email addresses currently listed in our roster are valid. Those that are not valid will generate a bounce message and we will then attempt to contact the member to correct the email address.
