yes. Put them in some tank water, peat and all, in a shallow container about a pint in volume. Also if you see the eggs are eyed up (they look brown or with a black spot, not clear--see the link below for a photo of an eyed up egg) they are not too far from hatching so you should put on some brine shrimp eggs to hatch out for food for them. Killies do not have any yolk sack and the fry are hungry as soon as they hatch. If you have some java moss or plants that might be good to add to the container as they usually have some infusorians within and will help supply food.

Yes, & that information should have come from the seller. You may have fry in a matter of hours or days. Look through the material and see if you can find any eggs. Ask the seller what they recommend to do with the package you received from them. Charles H

Good Luck with the hatch. Do you have any Micro worms or Brine Shrimp eggs? You will need some when the eggs become fish. Charles H

My experience with non annual eggs stored on peat is that a delay in development occurs. I would guess you have about 3 weeks from now before they are hatching. Australe usually take 2 to 3 weeks at about 78F to develop. With being on peat for a while it may be an additional week or maybe even 2 weeks more. I would not expect a hatch before at least another 2 weeks Maybe you will get some hatching around the first week of December. Check the egg container after Thanksgiving and see if the eggs are starting to show eyes. If the eggs are fully eyed up for more than a week, add a little of the microworms. That should "encourage" them to start hatching.
