Not quite sure how hold they are as I bought them from a breeder. They are roughly 2 inches long each (male longer than the female). Just wondering if they could survive the shoebox for a day or two, just to spawn and then back into the community aquarium.

Hey all,
I'm totally new to the world of killies (I have some experience with freshwater and reef aquariums though). Currently I've got a pair of blue gularis in a community 40g tank.
They have yet to spawn in the 2 months that they've been in the tank. I've got a spawning mop in the tank. They have been fed well on frozen blood worms, live brine shrimp, and flake.
I'm eager to have them breed and was wondering if I could scoop them out and put them into a 1/2 gallon tupper ware container with the mop.
I've read on the net that many of you killi experts spawn killies in really small containers, but I'm just anxious about doing so.
Thanks.
