General killie discussion:: JAKA
Has anyone considering relaxing the requirements for submission of articles for the JAKA? The requirements as stated in each JAKA might be hindering the submission of articles.

One can go to back issues from say 10 years ago and there were more articles of shorter length and less scientific in nature. There were also more articles for the beginning killifish hobbyist.

Tom Wroblewski
MKA
AKA

General killie discussion:: Will the AKA be gone in 25 years?!
Hi all,
How many free one year memberships have been given out via the BOT approved program? If I remember correctly, the program involves an AKA member giving a Killie related talk at a local aquarium society after which the local aquarium society is awarded one free 1 year AKA membership .....presumably to be either auctioned off or awarded to someone in the group. Can a BOT member clarify or expand on this?..........specifically how many such one year free memberships have been awarded and how many of them resulted in that person continuing his/her membership the following year?
....thanks....Ron Schulz...Dutchess County NY....MAKA..UNYKA

General killie discussion:: Where killifish lay eggs
The implication from his Youtube video was that Fran was using it primarily to find eggs. His demonstration with Renova oscari clearly showed this. I have not been able to do that. I do find it useful for drying the peat quickly and with control.

Lee Harper
Media, PA

I do not sell on Aquabid. I have more than enough outlets for my excess eggs. Mostly through local clubs and AKA Affiliates.

Lee Harper
Media, PA
