Snails with spawning mops

I was wondering if snails typically eat fish eggs.

I have some older spawning mops that I wanted to use but they are in a tank with some snails.

I don't know what kind of snails but the LFS calls them "pond snails". The maximum size is about 3/8" and they are brown. As far as I can tell they don't eat live plants.
