Rivulus species Isle of Pines, Cuba: Collier & Murphy, 1998 [color photo, Isla de la Juventud, also called Isle of Pines].

[I examined a lot of about 20 Rivulus from Isla de la Juventud (Isle of Pines) collected by M. Smith for the American Museum of Natural History and was unable to distinguish them from R. cylindraceus from mainland Cuba. Baruš & Wohlgemuth (1994) having studied a collection of 59 Rivulus from Isla de la Juventud conclude that Rivulus insulaepinorum has not been found to occur on that island. It seems reasonable to consider Rivulus insulaepinorum a synonym of Rivulus cylindraceus until demonstrated otherwise. I have seen the type specimen of Rivulus insulaepinorum and it is in very bad condition.]
